I got my hands on a pound of plump and fresh shrimp from H-Mart and wanted to whip up something unique instead of my usual go-to dishes like “halabos na hipon” steamed shrimp or the family-favorite gambas al ajillo.

After stumbling upon a recipe online, I decided to give it a go and adapted it to my liking. The best part? It was a breeze to make and didn’t require any fancy equipment or hard-to-find ingredients. I had everything I needed, and the end result surpassed my expectations.

The only tweak I made was leaving out the chiles and five spice powder from the original recipe. Suffice it to say, the family devoured it in record time and declared it a winner. I’ll definitely be making it again!
